Trivia The Nuts is a continuation to Nisses Nötter, but with a slightly different music style. early 1986: Nico(ex.Nisses Nötter)-Vocals Patrik(ex.Absurd, Anti Cimex)-Drums Joke-Guitar Porre(ex.Nisses Nötter)-Bass Starts to play together in the suburb Hammarkullen in Gothenburg. Songs are quickly taking form and the first demo "Halloween" is recorded on a 4-track recorder. The songs are a mix of hardcore and punkrock with swedish and english lyrics. demo number 2 "26 Hours" was recorded in september -87. Marko Orava (Delirium Tremens) released it on his label as DT 7. Demo 3 "Too Late" was recorded and released -88. At this point Patrik began showing less and less interest in the band, so Joke had to play drums on several tracks! And then just before a gig in Haga/ Gothenburg, Patrik decides to leave the band! Somehow the boys still succeed to do the gig!(with Joke on the drums) In 1989 Tommie(ex. Nisses Nötter-Bass) joins the Nuts (again) as a drummer. "Nutsplosion" -demo is done that year and 2 songs "Heja grabbar" & "Drömmare dåre" from the demo take part on the compilation album "Wild, Raw and Beautiful" (released by Arda Records in 1990) Arda Records releases a split LP "Mellan liv och död" with The Nuts and Fågel Blå in 1990. This time all songs are sung in swedish, the songs are less hardcore too. In early 1991 The Nuts "Screaming of joy" Lp/Cd comes out , The band is now really skitzofrenic and the songs sound really diffrent more rock and pop. The band goes on a Finland tour in January 1991 to promote their new album. Line up: Nico-Vocals, Joke-Guitar, Porre-Bass and Tommie-Drums. Soon after the tour Porre leaves the band to joinTornado Babies. The Nuts continues with a new bassplayer called "Rusty" for a while then the band splits up. Nico puts together a new band called Jellydevils. Joke and Porre later join forces in Not Enough Hate. The Nuts regroups in 1994 to record the song "Vi vill ha mer öl" for the compilation cd "Röjarskivan" (released by Ägg tapes and Records 1994). |
